Advanced Level Institutional Biotech hub, (Estd.-2011) under the financial assistance from DBT in the Department of Life Sciences has been a bedrock for research and innovation for Major (Honours) students and Research Scholars of the college. With modern cutting edge equipment at its disposal, the department of Zoology and Botany can very well act as interference for the researchers and academicians eyeing to explore a plethora of possibilities. Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) course running under financial grants from UGC and affiliated to Gauhati University has also pitched in as an opportunity for further lift in the Bio-Tech research activities. Kindling the awareness and drive for advanced knowledge among the students, Bio-Tech Hub has been instrumental in growing enrollment in Life Sciences. The role played by this biotech hub in our own institution has been very crucial. The practical classes on Cell Biology, Genetics, Developmental Biology, Tissue culture, Genotoxicology, Reproductive Biology are heavily dependent on the facilities created under the Biotech Hub. Moreover, the laboratory facilities of the Biotech Hub have been regularly used by the students and faculty members of other Departments too.
In addition, the college has well equipped laboratories in the Department of Botany, Chemistry, Education, Physics, Zoology, MLT and Computer Science.
